Macmillan Cancer Support

Almost 1,000 people every day hear the news that they have cancer and each year almost 120,000 people of working age are diagnosed with cancer. Whether you are an employee, carer, business or health professional we can provide support and information about work and cancer.
Supporting an employee affected by cancer can be tough, especially when you run a small business. You may be worried about how it will impact your team and day-to-day running of the business. Macmillan can guide you through your legal responsibilities as well as ways of supporting your employees through their cancer or bereavement.

Cancer is the toughest fight most of us ever face. And despite the fact that it will affect nearly all of us in one way or another, it can still feel like the loneliest place.

So, when you need someone to turn to, we’re here. Right from the moment you’re diagnosed, through your treatment and beyond, we’re a constant source of support, giving you the energy and inspiration to help you take back control of your life.

Longest Day Golf Challenge
Four heroes: 72 holes: One epic battle: Join us.
The Longest Day Golf Challenge is the toughest test in golf. You’ll need all your strength, (super) powers and drive to overcome 72 holes, 300 shots and a 20 mile walk. You’ll be putting all of your golfing powers to the test, while raising money for people affected by cancer. What’s more, you could even win a chance to play in Portugal.
Here’s the easy bit – assemble your team, choose a date, book your course. The longest day of the year is 21 June, which means plenty of daylight, but you can choose any date between May and August.
P.S golfers this year will also receive a years’ free subscription to golf scoring app courtesy of our friends at VPAR (see, it pays to be the good guy).

Match for Macmillan
This event couldn’t be simpler: play a match in whatever sport or activity you like, and raise money to help people affected by cancer.
It can be absolutely any sort of activity: football, rugby, tennis, cricket, golf, hockey, bowls, darts, dominoes, pool, ploughing, knitting – the choice is yours. What’s really important is the money you raise and the number of people we’ll be able to support because of your match.
So why not sign up to host your own match?
